Magness Memorial Tree Farm

We ventured to the Magness Memorial Tree Farm for the first time - LOVED IT!
Along the path were educational signs to teach us about the forest and identify trees.
Here are the kiddos sitting on conjoined giant cedars.

E! under a leaning tree - reaching for that glorious sunlight. What lessons we can learn from nature!

We took the Nagle Trail - great for young ones. The sign says to allow 20 to 30 minutes ... uh, it took us a good 90 minutes. But, we stop and check out every bug, bark and babbling brook. :)

At the end of the hike we saw this! It stood close to where we parked the car, but none of us had noticed it when we departed for our trip. It felt as if someone had placed it there just for us ... especially with what topped that totem pole:
A back-to-back gnome woman and man!
Right above an owl (more on our owl stories to come).
Seriously, I have never seen a totem pole with a gnome on it before - this was special, and felt heaven sent! PLUS, we're learning about native americans too. All the tie-ins - it's amazing!
