Great Migrations

This week we learned about animals that migrate. National Geographic had several outstanding books to read all about it. My favorite quote about the subject came from Big Sis who asked if we could migrate to Hawaii for the winter. Um, yes please!

Here's Lil Sis' poster about migrating animals - she spent a great deal of time on each picture, then dictated what I should write. The "red crabs can pinch people" stood out to her the most.

Here's Big Sis' poster. She really gets into each drawing - and could spend hours illustrating a project. Though I wish we could just keep going for as long as she wants, my internal tick-tock keeps us on a timer. I need to do better about following their lead.

Not a migration picture ... Here's Big Sis putting contraction star puzzles. She focused on punctuation, contraction and migration last week ... lots of 'tions! :)
