Homeschool: You've got {thankful} mail

In preparation for Thanksgiving, we made "thank you mail boxes" for each member of the family. Any time we caught someone doing something kind, or any time we just wanted to show gratitude for our family, we could write a little note, fold it up and stick it in the mail box.

The mailboxes were easy to make - just Thanksgiving scrapbook paper, stickers and old tissue boxes.
I love activities that give the girls an inspired reason to practice their writing and spelling. Lil Sis drew beautiful pictures, with letters floating across her notes. Big Sis is putting her new spelling rules to work, and she made thoughtful observations in her notes.
And everyone was excited to see if they had any new mail in their box.

Then there's our Little Man. He enjoyed reaching in the boxes, snatching the contents, and running like crazy with his new prizes. Yes, he keeps us busy.
