Homeschool science sprouts

We've been learning a bit about Heavenly Father's creation of plants. With the beauty of mother nature right now, it seemed like perfect timing. We learned then colored and labeled the four parts of a plant: roots, stem, leaves and flower. We talked about the different fruits/veggies we eat from the four parts (ex: roots = carrots, stem = asparagus, leaves = spinach, flower to fruit = tomato).

Then, we started some alfalfa sprouts. I'm happy to say that the girls even eat them!!! They put them on circular veggie chips and call them "plates of salad". Yay! Our little man, on the other hand, hates the taste. He eats most everything, but he truly finds our sprouts disgusting.

We have another science plant project in the works - more pics to come later.
