Helen Keller has always been one of my favorite people to learn about - and the enthusiasm started in my youth. Big Sis has studied her before, but was thrilled to learn more. We even got an animated video about her from the library, by the people who make the Living Scriptures movies. So one day's Reading Rainbow focused on Helen Keller, then we watched the video for our "Extra, Extra" and tried to understand what it might feel like to be blind. Then, for "A,B,C" Big Sis wrote a list of facts, using keywords, to help her remember what she had learend about this brave woman.
