Flight of bumble bee meets O'Keefe art

The first song on our "Can you Hear It?" from GG and Joe Joe is "Flight of the Bumble Bee" and the artwork was a Chinese woodcarving. We enjoyed buzzing around like bees to the song and could feel their busy, busy work.

Then, we learned a bit about American artist Georgia O'Keefe. We looked at her close ups paintings of flowers, and thought we'd make some that the bees would really enjoy.

 

 

We began with pencil, then went over it with a Sharpie ... then added marker edges.

 

Then we filled in our pictures with watercolors.
