Big Sis has tackled some difficult math concepts in the last few weeks!
It's not always easy, and mom needs to think of several ways to explain it and then sit next to her and repeat it until it "clicks" ... but when it clicks, wow! She just flies! I love to see the progression.
Since Lil Sis is only three (soon to be four!), she gets to decide how much and how long she wants to do school. (To be fair, this goes for Big Sis most of the time too ... but Big Sis' activities seem to have more structure to them). Anyhoo, on this day Lil Sis had some eggs with numbers, dice and colored pencils. She'd roll, color the match and try to get a BINGO row. She ended up going all the way until every egg was colored in! She amazes me too!
Here was a cute printable I found off of Pinterest - it included a tracking sheet and some math facts. Big Sis loved the variety, and seeing which pile had the most.
