Teaching moments

 The ball obsession continues with great force. He surprised me this week, as he quietly sat flipping through the Friend magazine and then suddenly began shouting, "Ball! Ball! Ball!"

He found three balls in this picture ... and he can now say the following:

football, soccer ball, golf ball, and he's trying on basketball.

For science, we talked about heavy and light things - then put random objects on the table and lined them up in order from heaviest to lightest. Simple and successful. That's what I'm talkin' about.

I love to see Lil Sis take on a teaching role. She energetically cheered E! on as he figured out the shape sorter, gently explaining as they went that a triangle has three sides and a square has four ... so cute!
