Randoms

Our go-to book, "Playful Learning" suggested reading Donald Crew's "Ten Black Dots" and then  making our own dot pictures. Each girl (including me) rolled dice to see how many dots they'd get, then made their pic.
We went to Grandma and Papa's house for dinner and pictures the other night - our Lil Sis wouldn't smile. She'd barely stand in. And I know the picture is blurry, with bad lighting ... but we rarely take pictures with all the grandkiddos together - so it's getting posted. :)

Lastly, we had a baby boy baby shower at our house last night with a fall theme. And I gotta share this funny (to me) story. I went to Costco and picked up a pumpkin cheesecake - I painstakingly selected the best one. It was perfect. Placed it on the bottom of the cart and off we went. When I pushed the cart to the car, the cheesecake cracked right in the middle due to the bumps in the parking lot. Grrrrr! I tried to convince a parking attendant to get me a new, uncracked one so I wouldn't have to load all three kids back into the shopping cart and start Round 2 of Costco. I didn't succeed. So, I took it home.

My superhero mom came to my house the morning of the shower, with buckets of cleaner in hand, posing as my maid service. :) So sweet. She helped me set up too ... and when she saw the cheesecake she had a brilliant idea. Let's cut the crack out of the middle, eat it, and then stuff a pear in the middle of the missing hole. Brilliant! lol. So we did. And you can see on the picture, it didn't look too shabby. hee hee.
