A week or so ago, we read a book about patterns in nature and then went on a hike looking for patterns, and took pictures of what we found. This week, we took the printed photos and divided them into six types of patterns. We went to this site and learned more about each type of pattern.
Then, each day of the week we made several pages for our very own nature pattern book. The girls would pick a picture they especially liked, glue it to a blank half page of white paper, write a few words about it and then glue on the pattern label.
We worked on the project every day, and it's still not complete.
When it is finished, I think it will be cherished and read many times.
