One day this week, we went to a park and gathered acorns ... a lot of acorns.
The girls organized them into a variety of groups:
doubles, babies, acorns without hats, just hats, acorns with hats, etc.

We wanted to count how many acorns we had, so we made groups of ten and practiced counting by tens ... after 200 acorns didn't make a dent in our collection, we decided to stop counting and stick with organizing.

Here's big Sis showing the different groups she selected for organizing.

When they were all categorized, it looked like this.
Now they're in jars all over our house as fall decoration. Super cute, I might add.
