V is for Volcano

School erupted with volcano-themed fun, this week. Big Sis learned a bit about what causes an earthquake or volcano; Lil learned how to write her "V" and soaked up volcano info too. So, of course, we had to do a homemade science project (or two) to reinforce what the books said.

Drawing volcanoes - it's hard to see, but Big Sis' is underwater, forming an island. Mom's is blowing its top. Lil Sis' has letter "v" all over and plenty of steam and ash.

These were supposed to be like "lava lamps" ... not so much.
But we did learn that oil and water don't mix, and that oil always ends up on top. :)
We have so much fun together!
