Our beautiful birthday girl had a Minnie Mouse family party day - and oh did she know it was her birthday! She kept singing, "Happy Birthday to ME!" and hammed it up for the pictures and party.
After breakfast, she came downstairs and Big Sis and Mom had decorated the living room and set up her big present: a child-sized picnic table (we found a guy who makes them locally - and does a fantastic job).
Then we opened presents. The books from GG and Joe Joe are a big hit!

Big Sis carefully picked out a Minnie t-shirt and Minnie sunglasses - she was sooo excited to give them to her sister. Big Sis is really Lil's second mother. I often hear Big say, "Don't worry, honey, I'll save you!" as she puts a gentle arm around her little sister and leads her along the way. (She needs to be saved from ants and people and other scary things that Meanie Mom won't save her from. ha ha.)
Lil also got this tent - it's still in our living room, but as soon as our rain stops, it'll go outside for the summer.

She wouldn't blow out the candles this year ... but even weeks before her big day, she knew she wanted a Minnie Mouse cookie for her treat. That's my girl.
So many people spoiled her. Thank you for loving our princess and celebrating with us! We just adore her silly ways. Some of my personal favorite traits about her include:
*Her singing - especially her ultra-low voices.
*The new, lengthy sentences she strings together every day.
*How she echoes her Big Sis. (For example: During tonight's FHE, she's shouting "Joseph Smith!" right behind Big Sis - as if she knows all the answers too.)
*She has a gratitude attitude. Many times she's the first person to say thank you for dinner.
*She's a snuggle bug who loves her family.

Happy Bday Anna! We love you!
Oh, looking at your blog makes me miss the Northwest, and especially YOU. What a cute mom you are, and your girls are so precious. It was good to see a pic of Hilary and her little baby girl too. I'm so jealous you got to go to that concert. Once in a life time. Go Alex! Love the baby bump...it's coming soon isn't it??? How exciting.
Happy Birthday big girl! She, of course, looks radiant!
I love her striped socks and pink skirt. The tent and picnic table should offer hours of summer fun. Happy Birthday lil sis.
