Well, the big guy had his surgery on Wednesday. There were several different options for surgery, and the doc said he'd figure out which one was best once they got in there ... it ended up being "the big one." So, now he has a large incision and a stabilized knee. (Recap: Due to a church basketball incident, our all-star dislocated and fractured his knee cap - leaving a bone chip and attached cartilage, floating around inside. Yuck.)
Then, due to complications with anesthesia and too low of oxygen levels, he had to spend the night in the hospital. That was unexpected. Oh, and to make it even more exciting at our house, the girls have bronchitis - and I'm denying the fact that I feel terrible too (cuz what good would it do to acknowledge it?). So, the rocky road continues. :)
I can't be too much of a Debbie Downer - there's always good with bad ... opposition in all things, right?
Lovelies along our rocky road include:
*Homemade chicken noodle soup from family
*The basket of Easter crafts (pictured above) to keep us busy (thanks GMa, GG, GPa!)
*It's raining. That just makes it seem like we're supposed to be in our PJs, inside, snuggled up with warm soup and too much TV.
*Sweet people calling to check in on us.
*It's General Conference weekend! And Easter weekend! Double duty! I'm excited!
