Another week ...

We're still needing strength, hope and courage at our house. I don't think I've posted this pic, forgive me if it's a duplicate. These are thumbprint cherry blossom pics the girls made for G-Ma, G-Pa and a set for GG and Joe Joe. We learned that Asian cultures view cherry blossoms as a symbol for hope and courage - nice timing with spring! :)

Since last week’s excitement included more of the same, and a little bit more, we need all the courage we can muster. Here's a week in review (we'll look back at all of this and laugh our pants off someday):

  • Learning I’m seriously anemic (no wonder I’m so tired). Many new pills to pop.
  • A dead coyote, a non-damaged FIL’s car (thank you!) and a lot of conversations about death and coyotes with our quisitive 4-year-old.
  • Lots of drive time for the family … then, stitches out and Alex on the road again (yay!).
  • Unbelievably painful ear pressure, resulting in me driving myself to the ER at 1:30 a.m. … when I was pulled over by Officer Warren who first thought I was drunk, then thought I was emotionally unfit to drive and then just felt sorry for me and let me go on to my destination … where I found out I build ear wax like an old man and have a sinus infection. Great. More pills to pop.
  • Lil Sis said her first prayer in Nursery (Awww).
  • A three-way phone call/family council = more bad news about Dad’s health (boo).
  • GG deep-cleaned one of our bathrooms upstairs. G-Ma cleaned the bathroom downstairs. (I’m trying to be thankful and not mortified or prideful about that.)
  • Learning that 1 tiny vicodin + 1 prego = 48 hours of sleepy crazy woman.
When people ask about our week and I start to give snipets of the scenarios, they often say, "Are you writing this down? Put this in your journal!" It's great advice - and I am. :) Thanks to everyone offering their love and support!

It sounds like you had a crazy week. I just started Ferretts iron last week for anemia too. I hope your next week is more uneventful for you unless of course they are good events.
