14 days of girly gifts

Before GMa's surgery, the girls worked hard on creating 14 gifts - one for each day she'd be gone. The ones above were cardboard people to represent many of our family members who wanted to be in the room with her. GPa hung them around the hospital and recovery suites for her.

They also made dino cards during school.

And they made themselves and GMa beaded bracelets, and shrinky-dink hand necklaces.

Here's Lil Sis sorting beads by color - she's getting good at saying her colors.
Her favorite color is orange, then yellow. :)
They made many more things, like tissue paper carnations, heart family cards, heart flower cards with buttons and cutouts, paper and straw necklaces, etc. and we found a few store bought items to make up for the days we didn't craft for. They had a lot of fun putting it together for their GMa. We love her so.
By the way, GPa and GMa are back in Portland now. The recovery really starts now. Poor GMa's head had to experience 6 ups and downs on the airplane ride home ... ug. It may take her several days to feel even as good as she did before the flight home. Luckily, she has an excellent nurse, GG (her mom, Gail) to be with her all the time.

How sweet! I love the little people cut-outs! Your Mom looks so good in the picture with James! Glad they are home safe now.
PS where did lil sis' curls go? :(

I could just eat these girls UP! did Lil' get a hair cut? her hair is just divine (only slighty biased to curly hair)

Yeah, her hair straightens out if it's been a while since it's been washed ... Get it wet and washed, and it springs up again. :) But I'm not sure if it's going to last a lifetime, or straighten out more and more as time goes on.
