Bye bye brain tumor

We spent pre-op day at the House Ear Clinic (that beautiful building in the background).
During that time, Mom saw 3 doctors and had many tests. It was a long, productive day.

We had a lot of time to wait in doctors' offices ... so we played.
This is your brain in Julie's hands. :) Are you worried?

Talk about ear wax.

Today we're in pain management mode. It's been 24 hours since she got out of surgery. She's still in ICU, but we think she'll move to a recovery room tonight. She's in good spirits and in good hands. The doctors said all of the tumor was removed (yay!), her facial nerve was not affected (yay!) and she most likely has some hearing in that ear still (yay!). Lots of good news!
Now for the recovery - we know it will be difficult, but she's strong and courageous.

If you post a comment here, we'll read it to her. :) She'd love to hear from you.

Jess I am so glad everything went so well so far. What an amazing woman. Prayers do work and are answered. I am so glad one down and two to go! We are still praying for your family and hope to keep hearing good news.

You're amazing, Julie--strong, courageous, and beautiful from this inside out. Love you lots! And thinking about you lots! And wishing I were there lots! And hoping the nurses are letting you rest lots! (Well, we both know that's not going to happen, but I thought I'd slip it in there. Hee!) Now, Rog and Jes already know how this works, so get ready for hugs--yes, lots! ~Love you all, Shar

How great that you get to be there too. I'm so glad you are updating Jessica. I feel so out of touch not being across the street anymore. I'm so glad for the good news. We pray for you (Julie, Roger, and the whole family) every day and will continue to do so!

All our love,
The Bradys
