Pre-K Anatomy

Shar and Sara gave the girls these huge pipecleaner things that we call Noodles. We've been using them for everything! They're awesome!
Well, a few weeks ago (I know, I'm way behind on bloggin'), we did some pre-k anatomy. We got a cool book from the library, and just went through it bit by bit. For the top pic, we made lungs -- in honor of Shar. :) We practiced taking yoga breaths and holding our breath and had lots of fun blowing our breath.
On a different day, and in honor of G-Ma, we made brains. :)
Big Sis even has a brain stem she's trying to show off.
Sorry, GPa - we didn't get into thyroids. :) Maybe in Anatomy 101.

At the end of the week, we had review time. I drew the body, then I called out body parts we had talked about. Big Sis would draw them on. Last, I wrote down the words and she practiced printing them on lines by her body. She did great. But she let me know she was done learning about the body - next, she wants to learn about dinosaurs.

Not to be out done, Lil Sis wanted to show off her drawing too.

With all of the stuff that you've taught them, they must be getting so smart. I bet they have a lot of fun with all of the projects too.
