Tastes like a birthday

Here are Avery's birthday cakes. We presented Avery with the small heart and a lit candle as we sang happy birthday to her. She sat in awe.

At first, Avery looked at us like, "You want me to do what?" In fact, she wouldn't touch the cake because she didn't want her hands to get dirty in the frosting. After a while, Daddy turned it upside down and broke into the fluffy, pink stuff. A-ha! She got it!

She loved squishing the cake in between her fingers - and she ate quite a bit too! After the sugar rush, she was tuckered out. A long nap was in order.
