Homeschool with Halloween style

Whether it's spooky subtraction story problems, or making addition problems out of jack-o-lanterns' eyes and nose, adding a bippity-boppity-boo of Halloween spirit can spice up the usual math practice.
We also re-used last year's skeleton puzzle. Big Sis enjoyed the familiarity of the puzzle, and while she remembered most of the basic info, she soaked in more details as we talked about each piece. Lil Sis liked locating the bones in her body as we went along, and thought it was funny that we have a cage inside of us (rib cage).

Now, my little man adores pumpkins. He shouts "Pu-Pu!" every time we enter or exit the house, because he wants some "pumpkin time." So, when it was time to decorate them, he was extremely happy to hold his pumpkin and brush a dry paintbrush across it.
With little ones, carving a pumpkin means Dad and Mom do most of the work, and the kiddos really want to help, but there's so much sharp equipment. So, both girls painted their pumpkins.

Here's Big Sis finished product:

Oh, and to get ready for Halloween ... we had to have a spooky bath.
Bathwater + Glowsticks = Spooky bath.
The idea came from Pinterest, and it was a major hit.
