I think this is the fourth year in a row that we've taken the family to Hood River's Fruit Loop - and this time we added G-Pa and G-Ma to the road trip. First stop is always Rasmussen Farms for their corn maze, pumpkin museum, pumpkin bowling and local apples and pears. .
We had fabulous weather!
I made everyone over dress ... a lot. I was ready for rain, wind and cold
... but we saw sun and felt warmth.
It was fun to have G-Pa and G-Ma with us. They had never been, so we could show them our favorite spots and discover new farms too.
The next stop (and Alex's favorite) is for BBQ. The three adults in line got the last three racks of baby back ribs!!! Lucky! My favorite old-timer country singer was there too. It's the perfect food combined with the perfect atmosphere and people.
Oh yeah, and they have a tire swing. My dream farmhouse will have one of those too ... someday. :)
Next stop: the bakery. As you can tell, our fruit loop tradition is all about the food!
While I loaded up on cookies, these three got icecream cones that left an impact.
See what I mean? That's an impact! Passersby made plenty of comments about the matching blue shirt/mouth. hee hee. She's so cute. And Lil Sis was left with something too ...
A sugar high!!! lol.
