Impressions from the Impressionists

We read this cute book, "Katie Meets the Impressionists" - all three kiddos really liked it.

Then decided to try out the impressionists' style.

Found this nifty cardboard box on the side of the road, waiting for the garbage man ... but I got to it first. It served as a steady tabletop while we dotted our colorful way with Q-tips.

Lil Sis' focused on a blue ballerina like Edgar Degas' "Blue Dancers."
It also features puffy clouds and colorful dots.

Big Sis' painting centers on Renoir's "Girl With Watering Can" - and she added a rainbow, a hill and puffy clouds on a sunny day.

Here's Mom's ... see those tiny toes? It's because someone finished his painting quickly and just wanted to snuggle in my lap ...

We looked like this most of the time. :) He's so cute.
