Our heaven-sent seven-year-old

She's seven. She's also thoughtful, sweet, organized, hard-working, enthusiastic and energetic.
We're so thankful Heavenly Father sent her to our family, and that she was ecstatic to come here first.

She started her day with a service project. She joined Dad's Scouting for Food drive. She and her cubscout friend took one side of the street, and Dad, E! and a scout took the other side of the street. Door-to-door they went, and everyone involved in the project collected more than 1,500 lbs. of food!

After a daddy-daughter lunch date, Grandma and Papa came over. They brought her the new American Girl books for Caroline. She's thrilled!

Then, a big thing happened ... her cousins from Utah moved to our town!!!! On her birthday! So, the three cousins and GMa came to our house for a party, while the men unpacked the truck.
In the picture above, the girls were trying to push the basketball down the hall with the tubes, then make a shot in the hoop.

With this game, the cousins had to work in teams to get a toy egg to slide down both tubes at one time.

This was a little Minute to Win it game called "Junk in the Trunk." ha ha.

After a requested dinner of tomato soup and rosemary bread (with or without melted cheese - depending on preference), she opened her gifts. Thank you Stumph family for the owl necklace, cupcake and greens!!

Here's her face when she realized this sheet of paper meant we are going to see the musical of Peter Pan! She stayed up late and got up early so she could finish the book in record time. Now she reads it cover to cover, or at least her favorite excerpts, every day. She cracks us up.

But Big Sis wasn't the only one celebrating a birthday ... This guy had a birthday the day before and had spent his special day driving from Utah to Oregon (not exactly the party of his dreams, I'm sure). So, he had some gifts waiting too! 

GPa and GMa gave him these nerf guns ... see that smile? I think he likes it.

Then everyone was able to frost their own cupcake and put on their own toppings ..

The next day, Big Sis modeled her new dress from GG and Joe Joe, and her new coat from Lil Sis and E!. She wanted me to wear my cheetah coat too, and pose for a pic. Grrrrrrreat fun! :)
