It's been fun to watch Christmas unfold for E! this year - he's really getting into it.
A friend gave him a present at church this week and as soon as we put it under the tree, he began to rip right into it. We explained that we need to wait until Christmas. He looked puzzled and said, "It's Christmas time," and then pointed the tree and said, "Christmas tree!" (like, "Hello! What time of year do you think it is?") So, then we explained that it is Christmas time, but there's a special Christmas Day for Jesus' birthday and we'll open gifts then to celebrate his birthday. I could see his little brain understand; and then he smiled and asked, "What's in it?" I don't know, buddy, but we'll find out in a few days. Hee hee.

Yes, we actually had to have a conversation about not eating the Christmas tree. Ha!
