Tradition! Fruit Loop

As is tradition, we drove out to the Fruit Loop in Hood River for some fall festivities.
We couldn't miss corn mazes, pumpkin bowling and the wacky theme pumpkin displays (this year was the Olympics) ... but let's get real, the tradition is all about food.

It wasn't too cold ... yet. And it wasn't rainy ... yet.

Classic pumpkin patch photo.

Alex devoured his rack of ribs at the outdoor BBQ - even when it was cold enough that we could see our breath and it was raining like crazy. The food tasted great, but not as good cold as warm - and harder to savor in the circumstances. Then we went to the bakery to load up on cookies - normally the girls get icecream but this year it was hot chocolate. Then back in the car for the nearly 2-hour drive back ... next year, we need to go earlier in the season!!
