In honor of Uncle James

Uncle James has been in Liberia, Africa on assignment with an organization to promote and help provide education - it's called Sahbu. We've been looking at his pictures on Facebook, keeping him in our prayers and having daily discussions of how blessed we are.

One day this week we hit up the Africa section of the Portland Zoo - in honor of Uncle James.

The hippos gave us a terrific show. Usually these large animals lay around, but this time there were two who were in and out of the water - moving right along.

The giraffes were also in action.

Over in "Asia," Packy the Elephant demonstrated many of his trunk skills - from blowing, to sucking, scooping and sweeping.

The penguins had a snack while we were there.

Zoo day, hooray!
