Halloween prep

Our costumes this year have aligned with our homeschool studies ... we're reading a biography about Sacagawea and the American Girl Kaya series; and we've completed several other native american themed books. So, call it homework, Halloween prep or just plain fun - either way, we've been getting our crafty on. We found a great bucket of beads at Michaels for our necklaces; they turned out super cute.

We spent time visiting virtual art studio collections of Native American art, then created our own tribal pattern trick-or-treat bags.

We've been "sewing" scraps of fabric to make papooses for baby dolls.

And we've been dressing up our baby dolls too ...

Honestly, we're having a ton of fun!
