Black and White - and sweet all over

The girls requested to learn about black and white animals. So, we picked four: pandas, penguins, skunks and zebras. We checked out a TON of library books ... and meal by meal, we'd read more about these high-contrast animals.

The girls colored pics, came up with subjects they wanted to learn for each animal, then filled out my backwards chart (oops).

Though my girls aren't exactly animal lovers, they loved finding out that zebras can look up to see predators while they're drinking, that pandas have a thumb pad near on the wrist, that penguins regurgitate, and that skunks can spray six times in a row!
