Which way does the "p" go?
Is this a "d" or a "b" ??
I'm still struggling to engrave the correct letter directions in their little brains ...
I have a feeling it will take years and years of practice. I saw this idea for teaching it - some letters start with a circle and they go to the left. If it starts with a straight line, it will go to the right. Circle, left. Straight, right. We tried it...
The littlest hands wanted a go at it too ...

I was always concerned about this but a wise teacher told me that exchanging the way the letters go is very common through 2nd grade...If I just simply correct and move on they just grow out of it.
