Free play! That's a term I use when I need them to find their own activity.
We had "free play" craft time ... let's just call it craft madness.

The results? Two itty-bitty, teeny-weeny Christmas cards made for their baby dolls,
with homemade envelopes. Super cute. And a regular-sized Christmas card or two.
