We read the book, "Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf" by Lois Ehlert and then used some leaves from a previous day's nature walk to make a colorful (and easy!) art project. We took several acrylic paint colors, squirted them into a pan smooshed side by side, and then carefully covered one side of the leaf with paint. Last, make a leaf print.
Here are our finished products. After the paint dried, we outlined the leaves (in attempt to make them more leaf-like). Big Sis didn't like how one of her prints turned out, so she cut it out and labeled her painting "Rainbow of three leaves." Pretty creative way to turn an "oops" into an "awesome!"

Oh please don't ever stop blogging!! One of these days I'll actually do something to teach my kids the way you do. I love reading about your faith and your family and watching them grow. I saw your car at your parents' while I was in town last week and I wanted to come say hello, but didn't make it. I'll make a bigger effort next time. I hope all is well!
Hey Betsy! Thanks for reading!!! I never know if anyone does (other than grandparents!). You totally should have came over - would have loved to see you! Next time, I guess. Take care! - Jes.
