Cheers for Halloween!

Avery had a full day on Halloween; and thankfully, she spent 90 percent of the day as a cheerful cheerleader! Here she is in action, cheering with such sweet spirit!
But it's hard to have spirit all the time. The morning started off rough when we had a disagreement about her rolling her head in a blanket after I did her hair (hence, the morning photo shoot turned into a cry fest). But she bounced back and the rest of the day went well.

It started with a stop by Dr. D's to see G-Ma; next, we went to see Grandma Poe's class at school (they conveniently work on the same street!)

After a quick lunch and nap we went to Daddy's work for trick-or-treating. Fifty cubicles of candy was worth the trip! At first we couldn't get her to say trick-or-treat, but by the end she was signing thank you and smiling ... and taking fistfuls of candy was no problem. :) After that, we went to a little gathering of cheerleaders at Amanda's house and then to G-Ma's house for the traditional (and delicious) chicken noodle soup. Avery liked helping hand out candy and toothbrushes just as much as she liked collecting the treats. Wooo - what a day. No wonder today was just spent recooping.
