Homeschool: Indian corn experiment


What happens when you put Indian corn in very shallow water, and let them sit on your counter for four weeks? This experiment idea came from pinterest somewhere - and it was a big hit. Each week the girls drew their observations, and we discussed the differences we saw and what we guessed would happen by the next week.


After one week, tiny sprouts appeared and kernels looked like bubbles ready to burst.


After two weeks, roots tangled and stems sprouted straight up.

By week 3, the green was growing!


By week four, it was like a forest.
