He's 30!

The king of our castle turned 30! So, he woke up and got a list of "30 things to do on your 30th birthday" - with "Skip Work" being at the top of the list! After he got breakfast in bed, and a 30 minute shower, he came downstairs to a 30th birthday party - involving a pretend picnic, pin the tail on the donkey, birthday balloon volleyball and presents.
The girls had a blast (and I think he did too!).

The birthday boy felt spoiled and loved.
Here he is showing his excitement for a Dunder Mifflin hat from two of our BFFs.

Next, G-Ma babysat for 330 minutes while we went to see Jim Carrey's Christmas Carol in 3D at the IMAX cinema. This movie date was much needed ... we thought back, and the last time we saw a movie in the theatre together was Oceans 13. Seriously.
Boy, special affects sure have advanced!

And what would be a birthday for Alex without getting sauced by some BBQ ribs?
Famous Dave's fed both sets of parents, Jacob and Jesse's family and our family too.

Even the little riblet chowed down!

We ended the day at Grandma and PaPa Poe's house for some pie (three pies, to be exact) and icecream - and more presents.
The duck fan and his loot.
*** Happy 30th Birthday! ***

yeah! Happy Birthday!!! The ducks gear is awesome. in the Dunder Mifflin picture the surprise face is pretty good, but my fav. face is Big Sis! what a crack up, she looks so pleased.

also, you are looking like a cute couple at the movies. I keep forgetting you have bangs; they are hot.
