A BIG deal Sunday

Today, Big Sis participated in her first Primary program! Both sets of grandparents came to see our polka-dotted princess give a talk, sing songs and wiggle through the entire hour. She knew a few songs, and though she was easily distracted - and all over the place - when it was her time to shine, she sure did. She got up to talk about temples, and in the sweetest little high-pitched voice she rehearsed her memorized talk flawlessly. Here's what she said:

The temple is a house of God. My Mom and Dad were married in the temple, that means our family can be sealed in the temple forever together. I walked around the temple before with my Primary children. I felt Jesus' love and the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Seriously, I've heard her practice it everyday for a week - but I was stunned at her. The entire congregation went quiet and listened. They all said Amen enthusiastically in response. The Spirit reminded me of how sweet and small and precious and pure she is - and what power she has within her.

After church, grandparents came to our house for a little Cafe Rio lunch (made in our kitchen). Sooo good. The Poes even brought a personalized congratulatory chocolate cake. Mmmmm!

Now, it was a big deal Sunday for Little Sis, too!! This was her first week in Nursery by herself! She said goodbye to me with no fuss or flinch, and went off to play! I asked her how it went and she gave a classic, "good." Yay!! I'm relieved!

I'm so proud of both girls!!!! That made me happy that big girl got a special grandparent lunch and cake, she surely deserved it. Some day when she is a missionary she can read this entry and know that even at 3 she was touching people's lives with her love of the gospel.

AND I knew Lil' would do wonderfully with nursery!!! isn't it amazing how all-of-a-sudden at 18 months the whole thing just fits!?

Her dress is super cute! Now if only I could get Luc to stay in nursery. So jealous!
