Feelin' fair!

Our first year of a new tradition: the Clackamas County Fair. We've wanted to go for the past three years, but it never worked out. I'm so glad we got to go this year - forgive me for sooo many photos. I tried to limit it. :) So, here we go:

Big Sis' pony ride. She smiled from ear to ear the whole time. She's often afraid of animals (like when our neighbor's cat purrs at her, as she cries and tries to climb my legs) ... but at the fair she pets, rides and milks them!

Lil Sis has been on a farm animal kick at home - reading books over and over again, or pointing to little fake animals to make their noises. She wasn't sure what to think of them up close though. She spent most of the time up in our arms or in the stroller.

See the milking?! We went to the fair first thing in the morning, stayed through our picnic lunch from home, then went back to our house for nap and dinner, then back to the fair for the evening. With the rodeo going on, most of the animals were alone with their owners. They were sweet to explain things - or let the girls get special experiences (like milking a goat!). So fun!

We're reading "Charlotte's Web" - so, these piglets were a big hit. Big Sis would have stayed by them all day.

There was a pioneer and indian area ... (that's where the wolf hat pic at the top came from)

Drummin' to the beat.

There was also an exotic animal section - with a lion, a tiger, a lemur, etc. Kinda crazy for the county fair.

Tell 'Dances with Wolves' she's the cutest thing I've ever seen. I never would have thought she was fearful of cats after seeing how friendly she is in these pictures. She must have got the "hate cat gene" from mom.

Also, Tell your hubby i'm laughing so hard about your ebay comment. but it made me remember that we started with 2 of those tshirts remember?? that is why it lasted so long!! he always wears an XL if you ever find another. LOL.

What a riot!!! I wish we could have gone with you guys! The animals would have been too cool. Your girls are to die for, and them riding and petting the animals cracks me up. :D
